Coffee prepared with this tool is usually thick and full-bodied. The main problem with this tool is often over-extraction of coffee, so the coffee should be transferred from the tool to a cup or container after preparation.

What do you need?

Coffee, brewing tool, grinder, scale, timer, water kettle, stirring spoon

Step One:

Start heating the water (quantity depends on the size of the tool)

Step Two:

While the water is heating, grind the coffee at a ratio of 1:10 to 1:15. The grind should be coarse.

Step Three:

Start pouring water in the middle, double the amount of coffee.

Step Four:

Stir the coffee slightly with a spoon and let it bloom for 30 seconds.

Step Five:

Pour the remaining water into the tool and let the coffee extract for 4-6 minutes.

Step Six:

Press the plunger down. If it requires force, it's likely the grind was too fine. If it's too easy, the grind might have been too coarse.

When you stop pressing, transfer the coffee to a cup or another container so that the coffee doesn't over-extract.

Step Seven:

Enjoy your coffee
