French Press
Coffee prepared with this tool is usually thick and full-bodied. The biggest problem with this tool is usually over-extraction of coffee, so the coffee should be transferred from the tool to a cup or container after preparation is complete.
What do you need?
Coffee, brewing equipment, grinder, scale, timer, kettle, brewing spoon
First step:
I start heating the water (the amount depends on the size of the appliance).
Step two:
While the water is heating, grind the coffee at a ratio of 1:10 to 1:15. The grind should be coarse.
Step three:
Start by pouring water in the middle, twice the amount of coffee.
Step four:
Stir the coffee gently with a spoon and let it steep for 30 seconds.
Step five:
Pour the remaining water into the device and let the coffee infuse for 4-6 minutes.
Step six:
Press the handle downwards. If the pressure needs to be forceful, then the grind was probably fine. If the opposite is true, then the grind was probably too coarse.
When you stop tamping, transfer the coffee to a cup or another container to avoid over-extracting.
Step seven:
Enjoy your coffee
