How to use Chemex
This elegant glass tool with its woody handle and leather tie that was made in 1941, an essential tool for all coffee lovers, it like any drip coffee but needs a courser grind
What do you need?
- Coffee beans
- Paper filter
Heat up the water (1.2-1.4 L).
Prepare 50-60 grams of coffee.
While the water heats, grind the coffee, it should be course but less that French press.
Put the filter and the 3 folds side by the spout.
Wet the filter to eliminate the paper taste and worm the glass and discard of the water.
Put the ground coffee and shake it to make it even, for even extraction.
Start pouring the water almost double the amount of coffee for blooming.
Wait for 45-60 seconds.
Continue pouring the water in the center slowly, it should take 4 minutes.
